About this dataset and its counting rules

Statistics count the spelling “Krasimir” as recorded by the publisher. When a spelling has several independent origins, the counts are not split between them. Counts measure births. Gaps are years without a published value, not zeros.

Rates per million are unavailable for this series because no compatible denominator has been imported.

Universe
» English title on the page: « First names by year of birth, sex and administrative district: 1984-2009 only babys with austrian nationality; from 2010 onwards all babys. » Attribute F-ANZAHL_LGEB: « Anzahl Lebendgeborene » (number of live births).
Rounding
No rounding stated; counts are integers (valueStatus=observed). National counts are computed by NameStoria as the sum of the published district rows plus the GEH row for the same name/sex/year (the file has no national total row); see notes for the overlap check.
Suppression
Metadata page, verbatim: « Bei Vornamen, die pro Jahr seltener als vier Mal vorkommen, wird nur die Anzahl pro Jahr für Österreich angezeigt. » (« For first names that occur less than four times per year, only the number per year for Austria is displayed. ») These rows carry district code GEH. No name is withheld at national level, so national counts are complete as published.
Ranking
No ranks are published; computed by NameStoria from published counts; ties share a rank, next rank skips. Computed per year and sex over the national counts.

    KRASIMIR— “fair peace”

_Krasan_, beautiful, however, was used in names, as Krasimir, Krasislav, Krasomil, &c.; and _zlata_, golden, though once used in Zlatoust, as a literal translation of Chrysostomos, in other names may, it is hoped, be employed to denote beauty; or else Zlatoljub, with its contractions Zlatoje and Zlatko, would be a most avaricious name. Zlata, Zlatana, Zlatibor, and Zlatislav, are also used.
