Source-reportedBy surface analysis, 𐽰𐽹𐽾𐽰𐽹𐽰𐽲 (ʾmrʾmʾq /amra-/) + -𐽷 (-k /-ḳ/), inherited from Proto-Turkic *amrak ~ *amrāk (“love, benign feeling; desire”) (from Proto-Turkic *amra- ~ *amrā- (“to love, to comfort”)). In Uyghur scribal tradition, this term is almost always found written with one aleph (which is otherwise reserved for front-vocalic words, reflecting /ämräk/) rather than the expected double-aleph.
